None More Black have begun the process of recording a new album, which according to their blog will be titled Icons. This is their first stint in the studio since 2006′s Fat Wreck release, This is Satire. You can catch up with their recording triumphs and woes on Jason Shevchuk’s blog. I am so super stoked for the comings-together of this new album, NMB are an awesome band with a lot of punk rock legacy.

New track “Boxer” posted from upcoming “American Slang” album by Gaslight Anthem

The Gaslight Anthem has just posted the new track “Boxer” on their Myspace page. It will be the second track on their album, American Slang, due out June 15 on Side One Dummy records. Check out the track on the band's Myspace page.

The band’s last release The ’59 Sound, was by far one of my favorite releases of 2008, and the new album seems to have a lot of potential to be just as good in all its fist-pumping, blue-collar Jersey glory. I am so stoked for this release, it’s going to make a really awesome start to the summer of 2010. If you haven’t thought about it, I strongly suggest picking up a copy of the new album on June 15. You can also pre-order your digital or physical copy of the album at American-Slang.com, or the uber nerd pack that comes with a sweet tshirt from Side One Dummy.

Also, check out the band’s tourdates on their Myspace page and see if they’re coming through your town on their American Slang tour with Tim Barry (of Avail)! Tim is touring is support of his new album, 28th & Stonewall, which came out in January.
